If you have ever spilled coffee on your carpet, you know how difficult it is to remove. If the coffee sits on the carpet, it can actually discolor or brown the carpet and be even more difficult to get out. Above is a nice video on how to remove a coffee spill yourself.
Follow these steps and you’ll be succesful at removing any coffee spill, spot or stain.
1. Blot the spill with a clean absorbent towel.
2.Apply water to the spot and blot with a clean absorbent towel.
3.Apply a mixture of lemon juice, warm water and dish washing detergent with a clean sponge. Blot with the sponge and remove excess moisture with a clean towel as you go.
4.Repeat step 3 until the spot has disappeared.
5. Flush out the detergent with water. Apply water and extract using a clean absorbent towel, or my favorite, a wet/dry vacuum, until you have flushed and rinsed the residue out of the carpet. If stain remains call a professional.
